Faculty Information
It honors your students and is appreciated by their family members and friends when you fully participate in Commencement Weekend activities. There are two major University events during the weekend: the Commencement Mass and the University Commencement Ceremony. You may also receive information from your college or department regarding additional diploma ceremonies.

Saturday, May 17 at 5:00 p.m. (faculty assemble at 4:10 p.m. in the Joyce Center, North Dome)

University Commencement Ceremony
Sunday, May 18 at 9:00 a.m. (faculty and rectors report to the north side of the Stadium Tunnel Gate by 8:40 a.m.)

Apparel
Academic robes are required for the Commencement Mass, the University Commencement Ceremony, and the individual undergraduate college diploma ceremonies.
If you do not plan to use your own cap and gown, you can order a cap and gown rental at the bookstore. Ordering information will be sent by the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore in March.
Note: Faculty Marshals for the Commencement Mass and the University Commencement Ceremony will only be reimbursed for the non-Notre Dame black doctoral, master's, or bachelor's regalia.
