Ceremony Guest Tickets
THE INFORMATION BELOW IS PRELIMINARY AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE. AS INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE IT WILL BE POSTED. MOST INFORMATION REGARDING THE 2024 COMMENCEMENT WEEKEND WILL BE AVAILABLE THE BEGINNING OF MARCH.
The Sunday morning University Commencement Ceremony is free; however, each guest is required to have a guest ticket. The guest tickets are free and unlimited, within reason. Students register for guest tickets through the GradApp (available March 2024). This is where they also RSVP/Register for their diploma ceremonies and the Commencement Mass. The Commencement Mass and diploma ceremonies do not require tickets.
University Commencement Ceremony
Guest e-tickets are required for the University Commencement Ceremony at Notre Dame Stadium. Guest e-tickets are unlimited, but must be requested by the student through the Graduation Application (March 2024). Please review the Prohibited Items list. The ND Stadium Gates open at 8:00 a.m. The Procession begins at 9:00 a.m. If there are any issues, such as lost emails and students added to the graduation list last minute, there will be Ticket Resolution booths at the gates beginning at 8:00 a.m.
Severe weather guest e-tickets for the University Commencement Ceremony will be emailed to the student's Notre Dame email address. These will be red in color and clearly marked “Severe Weather”.
Student Instructions:
8:30 a.m. - Students meet at their college/school designated area as shown below. A cap and gown is required to participate in the Procession. (Line-up Instructions will be emailed)
Diploma Ceremonies
Guest tickets are not required. RSVP/Registration is requested through the student Graduation Application. Cap and gown is required.
Students will receive their diplomas during their respective separate college/department/school ceremonies.
Commencement Mass
Guest tickets are not required for the Commencement Mass on Saturday, May 18 in the Joyce Center – Purcell Pavilion. However, an RSVP is requested through the student Graduation Application. Cap and gown is required.
Guests may begin entering the main entrance (Gate 9) at 3:30 p.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis and subject to capacity. Please arrive early for best seating. When the Joyce Center, Purcell Pavilion is filled, guests will be directed to the overflow locations within the Joyce Center.
Student Mass Instructions:
Cap and gown is required.
3:45 p.m. - Enter through the designated gates. (Line-up instructions will be emailed)
