Below are the 2024 Commencement speakers:

 

Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Isabela Tasende of Panama City, Panama, has been named Valedictorian of the 2024 University of Notre Dame graduating class and will present the valedictory address during the 179th University Commencement Ceremony on May 19 (Sunday) at Notre Dame Stadium. Isabela is an economics and political science major with a minor in theology in the College of Arts and Letters. 

This year’s Salutatorian is Shaker Erbini, a neuroscience and behavior major in the College of Science with a minor in compassionate care in medicine. As the salutatorian, he will offer the Commencement invocation and will be prepared to deliver a valedictory address should the valedictorian be unable to do so.

Claire Babineaux-FontenotLaetare Medal

Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, the chief executive officer of Feeding America, will receive the University of Notre Dame’s 2024 Laetare Medal — the oldest and most prestigious honor given to American Catholics — at Notre Dame’s 179th University Commencement Ceremony on May 19 (Sunday). President John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., Commencement Speaker

President Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., will be the principal speaker at the University of Notre Dame’s 179th University Commencement Ceremony on May 19 (Sunday), Notre Dame Board of Trustees chairman Jack Brennan announced today. Full News Release.
