Commencement Weekend promises to be filled with memorable moments and opportunities to reminisce with your graduating student. The links provided here will assist with planning your weekend.

Housing/Accommodations and Meals

Restaurants across campus will be open, including starship deliveries (Starship deliveries will not be operational on Sunday). It is suggested that you download the GrubHub app, for easy, time-saving ordering. 

Visit Experience Notre Dame to learn more about housing and accommodations (available the beginning of March), and to discover where to eat, where to shop, what to do, and all campus has to offer on Commencement Weekend. 

The Commencement Accommodations Office processes the sales and assignment of on-campus housing in undergrad residence halls for the nights of May 16, 17, 18, 2025.  When the price per night per person is annouced, it will include a convenience fee (linen) and sale tax.   

Guest Services

Throughout Commencement weekend, Guest Services representatives will be stationed across campus to assist guests. These Guest Services representatives can be identified by their green blazers and white Notre Dame baseball caps. The team is happy to help you with directions, campus information, mobility accommodations, and more. Times and further information will be available by late March.

Complimentary water refill stations will be available throughout Commencement weekend at designated locations near Notre Dame Stadium and the Joyce Center. Bottled water will be available for purchase for ceremonies located in Notre Dame Stadium, Joyce Center, and Compton Family Ice Arena. Water will also be available for purchase at various retail outlets on campus throughout the weekend.

For those with mobility limitations, golf carts and a van will operate (TENTATIVE):
Friday - 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
Saturday - 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Sunday - 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Campus shuttles will be available during the following hours (TENTATIVE):
Saturday 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Sunday 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Shuttles will run continuously. However, please allow time to arrive at your destination due to increased pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

Open Guest Wireless Available For Commencement Weekend

The ND-guest wireless service is open to visitors on the Notre Dame campus during Commencement Weekend. To access this service, just select “ND-guest” in your WiFi settings. For wireless service in the Notre Dame Stadium and attached buildings, select "NDStadium17."

Guest wireless service is offered for casual personal use on an "as is" basis with no guarantee of availability and no warranty of any kind.

Coronavirus, Influenza Virus and other health concerns

The University takes every precaution regarding Coronavirus and Influenza. Our standard policies and procedures for cleaning and disinfecting campus buildings are effective.
