Congratulations Class of 2024!
We hope the Commencement website will answer the many questions you may have surrounding Commencement Weekend. Please note that May 2024 information will be updated as it becomes available, however, most information will occur in March, 2024. Commencement Weekend activities will take place May 17-19, 2024.
The major events of the weekend are listed below.
Diploma Ceremony: Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19. At your diploma ceremony you will have your name read, walk across the stage, and receive your diploma. (August 2023 and January 2024 graduates will receive a blank diploma cover.) You can find your individual ceremony here.
Commencement Mass: Saturday, May 18, at 5 p.m. All are welcome to attend Mass. No tickets are required; however, seating is limited so please arrive early.
University Commencement Ceremony: Sunday, May 19, at 9 a.m. It features the conferral of degrees, awarding of honorary degrees, greetings by University officials, Valedictory, awarding of the Laetare Medal, and the Commencement Speaker.

Please review the Prohibited Items list prior to attending events in the Joyce Center, Compton Family Ice Arena, or the Notre Dame Stadium.
Seat cushions are permitted in the stadium.

Housing/Accommodations and Meals
Visit Experience Notre Dame to learn more about housing and accommodations, and to discover where to eat, where to shop, what to do, and all campus has to offer on Commencement Weekend.
Complimentary water refill stations will be available throughout Commencement weekend at designated locations near Notre Dame Stadium and the Joyce Center. Bottled water will be available for purchase for ceremonies located in Notre Dame Stadium, Joyce Center, and Compton Family Ice Arena. Water will also be available for purchase at various retail outlets on campus throughout the weekend.
Open Guest Wireless Available for Commencement Weekend
The ND-guest wireless service is open to visitors on the Notre Dame campus during Commencement Weekend. To access this service, just select “ND-guest” in your WiFi settings. For wireless service in the Notre Dame Stadium and attached buildings, select "NDStadium17."
Guest wireless service is offered for casual personal use on an "as is" basis with no guarantee of availability and no warranty of any kind.
