Mark P. Santrach, valedictorian

(SPEECH)  Mark Santrach, an architect major from St. Paul, Minnesota, has been named valedictorian of the 2014 University of Notre Dame graduating class and will present the valedictory address during the University Commencement Ceremony on May 18 (Sunday) at Notre Dame Stadium.


 

Ray Hammond 2014 Honoree

Ray Hammond, Commencement Speaker

(SPEECH)  Ray Hammond, Harvard-trained surgeon, urban community leader, and founder and pastor of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Boston, will be the principal speaker and receive an honorary degree at the University of Notre Dame’s 169th Commencement Ceremony on May 18.

Kenneth R. Miller, Laetare Medal

(SPEECH)  Kenneth R. Miller, professor of biology at Brown University, will receive the University of Notre Dame’s 2014 Laetare Medal, the oldest and most prestigious honor given to American Catholics, at Notre Dame’s 169th University Commencement ceremony May 18 (Sunday).
