Where to Stay

Special Meal tickets and Dorm Room accommodation requests will be available for Commencement weekend at the beginning of March, 2027.

Many families ask about staying on campus over Commencement Weekend, and we are happy to accommodate their needs by opening the student residence halls.  The Commencement Accommodations Office processes the sales and assignment of on-campus housing in undergrad residence halls.

Because students are still residing in the halls during the weekend, a limited number of rooms are available. Due to the limited availability and high demand for on-campus housing, we ask you to extend the courtesy to consolidate your guest room needs. This will allow us to accommodate as many families as possible.

Special housing considerations based on age, health, or physical restrictions will be accommodated when possible based on availability. Therefore all requests must be noted when room reservations are made in the "notes" section box. Space limitations may not allow for last-minute changes.

Every effort will be made to make your stay comfortable. Please keep in mind several students will remain in the residence halls for various reasons. During this special weekend residence halls are co-ed. These accommodations were designed for student use and are not appointed as a hotel. There are communal showers and restroom facilities for men and women. There are beds and clothing storage units in each room. Bed linens and towels are provided by the University. Each reservation will receive a linen bundle based on the type of room requested. Personal items that you may wish to bring are robes, shower shoes, blow-dryer, your favorite soap and shampoo, extra towel and pillow, alarm clock, cell phone, cell phone charger, and clothes hangers. There are no private baths available. Pets are not permitted in the residence halls.

You will be required to provide the name and address of the graduate for security purposes. Not all residence halls will be available.

The Commencement Accommodations Office reserves the right to limit the number of rooms by consolidating guests or placing guests in any hall in order to maximize the available housing.

Attendees will be sent a separate email in the week prior to Commencement Weekend with dorm assignments and meal ticket information.
