Be a part of the University of Notre Dame tradition by wearing the Stole of Gratitude and presenting it to those who have made a significant difference in your life.
The undergraduate and master's gowns are made from 100% recycled material (23 plastic water bottles). Students can choose to keep their recycled gowns or place them in the gown recycling boxes that will be placed throughout campus. What do you do if you want to take it home for photos but still want it recycled? Send it back to us. For every recycled gown that is returned to campus, the University will receive $.25 donation to a sustainable student group on campus. Once the recycled gowns are returned to the Balfour company, they will be chopped into bits and recycled into many products, including carpet. Yes, your 100% recycled gowns are 100% recyclable!
