It honors your students and is appreciated by their family members and friends when you fully participate in Commencement Weekend activities. I would draw your attention to the two major University events during the weekend, the Commencement Mass and the University Commencement Ceremony.
The 2012 Commencement Mass is on Saturday, May 19 at 5:00 p.m., and the University Commencement Ceremony is on Sunday, May 20 at 9:00 a.m.
Please review the detailed faculty instructions for both the Mass and the University Commencement Ceremony prior to Commencement Weekend.
Emeriti faculty are also invited to attend. Please follow the same faculty instructions.

Apparel
Academic robes are required for both the Saturday Commencement Mass and professional ceremonies, the Sunday University Commencement Ceremony, and the individual undergraduate college diploma ceremonies.
The Bookstore sent an email to all faculty regarding rental of academic apparel and ordering instructions in late March. If you do not plan to use your own cap and gown, you can order a cap and gown rental on-line (now through April 27) at http://oakhalli.com/college/nd/. Payment will be required when you pick-up your rental gown at the bookstore beginning Monday, May 14.
