Tickets

Tickets are required for the main Commencement Ceremony (see the Commencement Guest Ticket policy for general information). Please see below for specific information for this year’s ceremony.

Sunday, May 17 2:00 p.m.
Guests – require tickets
Students – require tickets, ND Student I.D. or valid Driver’s license, and cap and gown
Faculty – require tickets, ND Faculty I.D. or valid Driver’s license, and proper regalia

Student ticket pick-up

Commencement tickets are scheduled to be distributed in the Eck Visitors Center Auditorium on Thursday and Friday, May 14 and 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All students, including those who did not request guest tickets, must pick up their ticket packet and instructions. In order to obtain your tickets, you must present your student I.D. (or valid driver’s license) and your receipt showing that you have rented a cap and gown. There will be a short Senior Survey to fill out.

Due to security this year, your student ticket and I.D. will be matched to a list of names when entering Gate 3.

If you will not be on campus until the morning of the Commencement Ceremony, please inform us (574-631-7043) so that we can make arrangements for you to obtain your tickets.

  • Because of the high demand for guest tickets, we are unable to fulfill requests for the fourth guest ticket to the University Commencement Ceremony. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause the students, their families, and guests.
  • Specific University Commencement Ceremony instructions will be handed out at ticket distribution.
  • Keep in mind that much of our communication to you will come in the form of emails. We encourage you to check your email regularly and respond as requested.
  • The Office of the Registrar, 105 Main Building, will be open 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 16. The office will not be open on Sunday.

Closed-circuit television of the ceremony will be available in DeBartolo Hall for those guests who do not have tickets. The ceremony will also be available on the Web via live streaming video.

Faculty ticket pick-up

Faculty attending the Sunday University Commencement Ceremony will pick up tickets through their dean’s office.
